Nutrient Film Technique
Nutrient Film Technique or NFT is a hydroponic technique whereby a very shallow stream of water containing all the dissolved nutrients required for plant growth is recirculated past the bare roots of plants in a watertight gully, also known as channels. Ideally, the depth of the recirculating stream should be very shallow, little more than a film of water, hence the name 'nutrient film'. This ensures that the thick root mat, which develops in the bottom of the channel, has an upper surface which, although moist, is in the air.
Greenhouse Technology
A greenhouse is a structure with a different types of covering materials, like glass or plastic roof and frequently glass or plastic walls; it heats up because incoming visible solar radiation (for which the glass is transparent) from the sun is absorbed by plants, soil, and other things inside the building.

Tea Plant Cultivation and Orthodox Tea Processing

Tea is the agricultural product of the leaves, leaf buds, and internodes of various cultivars and sub-varieties of the Camellia sinensis plant, processed and cured using various methods. "Tea" also refers to the aromatic beverage prepared from the cured leaves by combination with hot or boiling water, and is the common name for the Camellia sinensis plant itself. After water, tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world. It has a cooling, slightly bitter, astringent flavour which many enjoy.
In July 2009, I learn about cultivation and processing of orthodox tea at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VIII, Malabar. There are so many aspect can we learn there. I took a theme Agricultural Engineering Aspect at PTPN VIII, Malabar to complete of my subject in campus. Here, I shared the report of it. You can download it but it is still in Indonesian.
